Groundbreaking for Milpitas Discoveryland preschool took place on February 28, 1974. It was the plan of the Milpitas Seventh-day Adventist Church to develop this child care center program based on Christian principles of education for the community.
Discoveryland was officially opened on September 10, 1974.
